Southern Ohio Correctional Facility: Lucasville, Ohio
Southern Ohio Correctional Facility has not only the reputation of being the last in the state to uphold and perform the death penalty, but has set the scene for tragedies such as an eleven day riot in 1993. The riot ended in nine prisoners and one correctional officer being killed in the violence. In the aftermath, five inmates who were found to have instigated the riot were also put to death. Activity in the facility includes reports of doors slamming and strange shadows in the cell blocks, as well as a ghost of a prisoner that has been spotted wandering after lockdown.
