Shawnee State University has a long history of ghostly activity. Locations with reported activity include Masse Hall, Verne Riffe CFA, and the college library. Reports are very prevalent in the Verne Riffe building, including children whispering and voices echoing through the halls, as well as dark figures and books falling from shelves.
