As most of the locals know, the Emmitt House caught fire in 2014, but this is where one of the haunts begins. If you look at the picture on the right, you will see that there are three ovals circling the three ghosts in the picture. This picture was not taken by our investigators, but a bystander when the building was burning.

 

Several investigations have been conducted on this location in the past. Unfortunately, due to the fire, the area is unavailable for further investigation. 

 

People have reported several haunts in the Emmitt house but, there is only one in particular that stands out. James E. Emmitt is a visitor that most people in the area are aware of. Mr. Emmit was the original owner of the restaurant and was one of the area's first millionaires. When the Emmitt House was still standing, visitors would see a ghostly figure and smell cigar smoke in the restaurant. People have even been known to leave cigars for him to smoke, and the gifts are reported to be taken in the morning.
